Mankua | PowerStamper v1.0 517 KB |
Utility |
Compiled / Description
27.08.2010 PowerStamper is a Texture Builder by Bitmap Projection. This means that an image is projected onto the 3D surface of a model, and stamped into its material bitmap textures. The image is projected using the active viewport, which can be an orthogonal projection ( Top, Front, User) or a perspective projection ( Camera, Spot Light ). The projected image is known as the 'Stamping Image' and the material bitmaps as the 'Output Bitmaps'. As a Stamping Image you can use photographs to compose complex photorealistic materials for a 3D model; typical material maps to create unique 3D seamless unstretched maps, like rock or sand; or, you can paint rendered images to create complex 3D painted maps. However, to get better results, you can mix all these three techniques! |

Mankua / Josef Wienerroither | UVW Frame v1.0 868 KB |
Modifier |
Compiled / Description
06.11.2021 UVW Frame is composed of two plugins, a helper that displays a frame in the viewport, and a modifier that converts any mesh that is inside this frame to a UVW mesh for another object. UVW Frame allows the artist to manipulate the UVW mesh in a 3D viewport, to use the editable plugins on this mesh, and to use as many modifiers as they like. More information can be found here, and the latest source code is available from Josef Wienerroither's GitHub repository. |

Mankua / Josef Wienerroither | Texture Layers v2.0 10.6 MB |
Modifier |
Compiled / Description
07.11.2021 Texture Layers allows you to keep and animate all of your mapping channels in just one modifier, including its own sub-object face/patch selection. You can copy, cut, paste, save and load mapping channels inside the same modifier, or from one modifier to another. Usual mapping techniques are fine for objects like boxes, spheres or cylinders, but even a simple procedural object like the torus is almost impossible to map well with traditional mapping techniques, not to mention more complex models like the ones you work with every day. Here is where TexLay fills the gap with its two procedural mapping types, Spline Mapping and Free Form Mapping. More information can be found here, and the latest source code can be found on Josef Wienerroither's GitHub repository. |

Mark Blosser / Jon Watte | kiloWatt X-port v1.5.1 1.29 MB |
Import / Export |
Compiled / Description
10.06.2014 kW X-port can export a scene as geometry and animation out of Max. It correctly exports geometry skinned with the ISkin modifier, as well as regular objects, with up to 4 channels of UV data, tangents, binormals, and other useful geometry options. Additionally, it can re-write texture references (turn them relative, and/or change the extension of all textures to .dds), and ignore (or include) geometry with no material assigned. For animations, both skinned and un-skinned animations are supported, and you can define multiple animations as separate subsets of the Max timeline. Each has its own name, and they can even have different time scales. This version from Mark Blosser has a few improvements over the last Jon Watte version, including an option to disable 'ticks' to control the timing of animations and support for the latest Max versions. |
