There are two versions available, Standard (supports up to 10 nodes) and Plus (supports up to 100 nodes). Pricing is €99 for the Standard version and €179 for the Plus version. They are also offering 50 licenses to 'Early Adopters' at a reduced price of €89 (Standard) / €161 (Plus).

If you're interested in buying a license as an 'Early Adopter', contact them at info@ycdivfx.com as soon as possible because they have a 50 units limit for the Alpha stage.

Plugin News: Deadline Cloud Wizard - open beta

Thinkbox Software have started an open beta for their upcoming Deadline Cloud Wizard for Google Cloud Platform, which allows you to quickly scale up your Deadline 7 render farm by adding cloud-based resources via Google Cloud Platform.

Configuring cloud-based render farms can be complex and time-consuming, but the Deadline Cloud Wizard condenses the process into a one-time automated task that takes about 30 minutes to complete. Once in place, working with the cloud will operate as fast as Google Cloud Platform can spin up instances. As a special offer, Google Cloud Platform is providing a $500 credit for render resources to Deadline Cloud Wizard beta customers (available on a first come, first served basis).

Full information can be found here.

Site News: Available for contract work...

This is my monthly news entry to let people know that I am always available for 3D work (I don't just run this site, and I don't earn any money from it).

My main areas of work are commercials, industrial and technical animation, as well as programming and scripting. All of the relevant information can be found on my other site Animation Design, along with some videos of my work to give you an idea of what I can do. So if I can help out at all, just let me know.

Site News: Calling all freeware plugin developers

If you are a plugin developer with source code for plugins that you don't develop anymore, it would be great if you could get in touch with me. I would be glad to recompile as many old plugins as possible to stop them from disappearing for ever. Just mail me to let me know what sort of stuff you've got.

On a side note, this is how the Messiah:studio plugins got recompiled for Max 9 to 2012, as well as all of the Sisyphus plugins, so it's worth sending stuff my way :o)
