Plugin Update: Import / Export

Changes for v2.11.8.0 are:
- Adds Android 64 bit support
- Fixes GrannyHelp() MAXScript command to properly list the commands when no argument is given
- Animation Studio: Adds a global 'Auto-forward transition requests' option
- Animation Studio: Fixes an assert when removing all animation slots

Changes for v8.6.16 are:
- Fixes Shutdown/Restart functions on Linux and Mac render clients
- Improves Linux platform user login detection on render clients
- Linux and Mac render clients now have a new improved pipe handling function
- Fixes an issue with the Max connector not handling the Environmental variable

New Plugin: Modelling

Spiros is a commercial MAXScript for creating beautiful spirals, helices and torus knot splines with mathematical precision. Thinkbox Software has added support for Max 2018 to a number of their plugins:
- Krakatoa MX v2.7 - same as v2.6.3, but with added Max 2018 support
- Frost MX v2.1 - same as v2.0.14, but with added Max 2018 support
- XMesh MX v1.5 - same as v1.4, but with added Max 2018 support

The plugins above are all available for Max 2012 to 2018 and prices range from $495 (Frost, XMesh) to $1000 (Krakatoa).

New Plugin: Modelling

PolySmoother is a tool for work with smoothing groups. It allows you to visualize the model's smoothing groups using different colors, and you can select, modify and optimize them in a quick and easy way. It also features functions to preview hard, shared and open edges to quickly identify them.

PolySmoother is available for Max 2014 to 2018 and normally costs $45. Until October 1st you can get a license for $30.


New Plugin: Modelling

Volume Cutter is a commercial MAXScript that lets you fragment your geometry with detailed cuts, avoiding the typical Voronoi pattern that isn't good enough for production anymore. Simple controls give you good details fast and allow you to iterate your cutting with one click.

Volume Cutter is available for Max 2013 to 2018 and costs $24.
